Marcia Berner received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from The University of the Arts and Master of Arts Administration from Drexel University. Her primary teachers included Natalie Hinderas, Donn-Alexandre Feder, and Frances Fanelli.

 

Marcia has over 25 years experience teaching private piano lessons. Her students range from children through adult and are exposed to a wide variety of repertoire, including classical, jazz and contemporary music. In addition to teaching, Ms. Berner is an accomplished accompanist and has worked with renowned musicians in the Greater Philadelphia area, including members of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Passionate about bringing music to the community, Ms. Berner has served as Associate Director at the Academy of Community Music and as Coordinator of Performing Ensembles at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Music, and believes in providing well-rounded music instruction while cultivating a lifelong appreciation for music.
