In addition to traditional music lessons, the Ambler Music Academy offers adapted private music lessons to people of all ages with special needs. The Academy’s Board Certified Music Therapists tailor lessons to the needs of each individual and focus on creating an experience that is both enjoyable and productive.

Music Therapy is an established health profession in which music is used therapeutically to help enhance an individual’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical and/or behavioral development.  Music Therapists use a wide variety of music based activities to achieve individualized goals including: improving communication skills (expressive and receptive), improving motor function and coordination (both fine and gross motor skills), developing and improving social skills, modifying behavior and addressing emotional needs and self-expression.
