

Alyssa Lahoda
Alyssa Lahoda is a violinist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Lebanon
Valley College with degrees in Violin Performance, Music Theory, and Music Business, as well as
earning Departmental Honors for her research on Music Performance Anxiety & Musician
Wellness. She also initiated and helped establish the ‘Musician Wellness’ course and
concentration at LVC.
Alyssa is a dedicated educator with extensive experience teaching students of all ages and ability levels. She has taught violin, viola, and cello privately through organizations including Grand School of Music, Orchestra Zone, and Fox Music Den, as well as an Adjunct Professor at Lebanon Valley College. Beyond the private lesson setting, Alyssa has worked extensively in community and educational music programs. She has taught and coached at Crescendo Phoenixville, Berks Summer Strings,Reading Symphony Junior Strings Orchestra, and Lancaster Symphony's in-school education programs. She has also participated in outreach initiatives through the Reading Musical Foundation, Franklin & Marshall College's Side-by-Side Concerts, and Berks Youth Chorus.
Alyssa's teaching philosophy centers on developing strong technical fundamentals, musical artistry, and confidence in performance. Drawing from her background in musician wellness and performance psychology, she helps students cultivate healthy practice habits, and build a lifelong love of music. She believes every student learns differently and strives to create a supportive, engaging environment tailored to each individual's goals and interests.
In addition to teaching, Alyssa maintains an active performance schedule, serving as Principal Violin II of Berks Sinfonietta, Assistant Principal Principal Violin II of Bucks County Symphony Orchestra, and
performing with ensembles including Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, Southeastern
Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra, Helena Symphony Orchestra, Pennsylvania Philharmonic,
and Midatlantic Symphony Orchestra. She also plays with numerous pit orchestras such as
Wilmington Ballet and Fulton Theatre, and toured across the U.S. and Canada with The World of
Hans Zimmer.
